Vantage is a global, multi-asset broker with a team of in-house writers and market analysts who produce educational and insightful trading content for traders of all levels.

Unitree Robotics has gone from viral robot-dance clips to a landmark Shanghai IPO, and if you have been following Unitree robot news this year, today is the payoff. As of 10 August 2026 (GMT+8), traders can get CFD exposure to it on Vantage through UNITREEUSD. The launch lands on the same day public subscriptions open for Unitree’s own IPO, which priced on 6 August at RMB150.80 a share, implying a valuation of roughly $9.04 billion. The shares themselves have not started trading yet; that comes once the STAR Market debut goes ahead.[1]

In 2023, Unitree sold just five humanoid robots. By 2025, that figure had risen to more than 5,500.[2] That gap tells the story.

This piece breaks down what UNITREEUSD is, the USPs behind the Unitree Robotics stock, and the stock outlook heading into its STAR Market debut. All figures are as of 10 August 2026 (GMT+8), sourced from Unitree’s listing prospectus and the coverage referenced below. This is not financial advice.

Key points

  • UNITREEUSD launched on Vantage on 10 August 2026, giving CFD access to Unitree ahead of its Shanghai STAR Market debut. Vantage has indicated the product structure may transition once the underlying shares begin trading, subject to the final post-listing product setup.
  • Unitree Robotics priced its IPO at RMB150.80 a share on 6 August 2026, implying a valuation of about $9.04 billion, above its earlier indicative valuation of around $6.2 billion.[3]
  • Unitree says it shipped more than 5,500 humanoid robots in 2025, according to its IPO disclosures, with 2025 revenue up 335% and core-business gross margin at 60.13%.[2]

What is UNITREEUSD?

UNITREEUSD is a 24/7 product: tradable around the clock via CFD, in a similar structure to Vantage’s earlier CXMTUSD listing. Put simply, UNITREEUSD gives Vantage CFD traders access to Unitree stocks ahead of its exchange debut. UNITREEUSD is designed to provide CFD exposure to Unitree during the IPO process.

Vantage Markets has indicated that the product structure may transition into a standard listed-stock CFD once shares begin trading on Shanghai’s STAR Market, expected later in August 2026, subject to the final post-listing product setup.[4] As with any new product, confirm the exact specifications below, particularly the swap rates and server eligibility, against Vantage’s live MT5 symbol setup before trading, since product terms can be updated.

Unitree Robotics IPO: the numbers behind the headlines

Unitree sold about 40.45 million new shares, roughly 10% of its enlarged share capital, to raise around RMB6.1 billion, or about $904 million, with CITIC Securities leading the deal.[3] The final IPO valuation of roughly $9.04 billion was well above the earlier indicative valuation of around $6.2 billion.

Subscriptions opened on 10 August 2026, payment is due on 12 August 2026, and allotment results are expected around 14 August 2026. The STAR Market trading date had not yet been officially confirmed as of this analysis, with market expectations pointing to later in August.[5]

DeepSeek was allocated a 2.31% stake through the IPO’s strategic placement, worth around RMB141 million, alongside other strategic investors including units of Tencent, China National Petroleum Corp, China Southern Power Grid and China Telecom.[6]

Vantage’s own briefing materials also cite Meituan, Sequoia China and Matrix Partners as pre-IPO shareholders, at roughly 9.65%, 7.11% and 5.45% respectively. We have not independently verified those three specific percentages beyond that internal material, so treat them as indicative pending confirmation against the official prospectus.[7] This pre-IPO picture changes once the new shares are issued.

One wrinkle worth flagging: Unitree’s private funding rounds reportedly valued the company well above its eventual IPO valuation at points in 2024 and 2025.[8] We have not independently verified those specific figures beyond the company’s own materials, so treat any pre-IPO valuation number as indicative rather than confirmed, and check it against the official prospectus if it matters to your decision.[9]

The USPs behind Unitree robots

The USPs behind Unitree robots

Strip away the noise around this listing and a handful of numbers explain the attention it has drawn.

  • Volume leadership: Unitree robots shipped more than 5,500 humanoid units in 2025, placing it among the world’s leading manufacturers by reported shipments, on top of more than 33,000 cumulative quadruped units, all according to its IPO disclosures.[2]
  • Revenue and margins: 2025 revenue jumped 335% to around RMB1.7 billion, while gross margin for the core business reached 60.13%.[2]
  • Profitability: the prospectus indicates adjusted FY2025 profit of roughly RMB590 million, equivalent to an adjusted margin of about 35% based on reported revenue, highlighting the company’s reported profitability ahead of its listing.[10]
  • Reach, and a risk to watch: in 2025, more than 40% of revenue came from overseas markets, with the US accounting for 13.3%, a market where new US restrictions on foreign-made humanoid and quadruped robots could constrain future Unitree models and sales.[8]

Those are the core Unitree Robotics USPs driving investor interest, though each figure traces back to the company’s own prospectus rather than an independent audit. Treat the more specific numbers as a starting point for your own research rather than settled fact.

Stock outlook: growth story, real risks

Forecasters see a large runway here. GGII projects the global humanoid robot market at roughly $15 billion by 2030,[11] and Goldman Sachs has floated $38 billion by 2035.[12] China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and 2026 Government Work Report both name embodied intelligence a strategic priority. Hangzhou, Unitree’s home city, expects its robotics sector to exceed RMB50 billion by 2027, with humanoid-robot production surpassing RMB20 billion.[13] Treat all of these as forecasts, not guarantees.

The near-term picture is messier than the headline growth numbers suggest. Unitree’s own disclosures point to first-quarter 2026 adjusted profit falling by around 52.6% year-on-year as research and marketing spend increased.[8] U.S. restrictions on foreign-made robotics are a live risk for a company still drawing meaningful revenue from America, and Chinese peers including AgiBot and EngineAI are also pursuing public-market listings, with competition across the humanoid-robot sector continuing to intensify.[2] Next up in the Unitree Robotics news cycle: the allotment results around 14 August, the STAR Market debut later in the month, and what the Unitree Robotics stock price actually does once it starts trading on an exchange rather than a spreadsheet.

UNITREEUSD is a newly launched, IPO-linked product with limited price history and does not yet carry the same price-discovery track record as an established stock CFD. Traders considering exposure may want to review their risk management and position sizing with that in mind. A Stop Loss does not prevent losses; it limits them to a size decided in advance.

Leverage on UNITREEUSD is 5x, and leverage remains a double-edged tool: it can amplify losses as easily as gains. Position sizing relative to total account equity is worth revisiting before adding a newly listed, IPO-linked instrument like this one to a portfolio.
