Market Overview

Global markets open the new week in a cautious but observant mood as traders navigate the aftermath of the Federal Reserve’s recent rate cut and brace for a series of key data releases.

Investors are still assessing whether the Fed’s easing move is sufficient to keep growth momentum intact or if further support may be needed before year-end.

The ongoing U.S. government shutdown continues to delay some official releases, leaving investors dependent on private-sector indicators such as the ADP employment report, University of Michigan sentiment, and global PMI readings to gauge the health of the economy.

These reports might provide early signals on whether inflation pressures are easing and whether consumer resilience can sustain market optimism.

Meanwhile, U.S.–China trade developments remain central to sentiment. Any new restrictions on technology exports or fresh tariff rhetoric could easily trigger risk aversion across equities and commodities. Conversely, even minor signs of progress or renewed diplomatic dialogue might encourage a short-term relief rally in risk assets.

In Europe, attention remains on Eurozone GDP and inflation readings, where weak manufacturing output and declining exports continue to weigh on the euro.

The European Central Bank’s communication later in the week could offer hints about the possibility of additional policy support should growth conditions worsen.

Commodities are also at a pivotal point. Gold continues to benefit from safe-haven demand and lower bond yields, while oil prices remain constrained by fragile demand expectations and higher global stockpiles.

The U.S. dollar maintains its strength, supported by defensive positioning, but might experience near-term pullbacks if data disappoints or global risk appetite improves.

Overall, this week is expected to be data-driven and headline-sensitive. Market participants may respond quickly to changing conditions as incoming numbers and policy headlines shape risk appetite, leading into mid-November.

EURUSD

Fundamentals

The euro remains under mild downward pressure amid continued weakness in Eurozone data and cautious investor tone. A firmer U.S. dollar and lingering trade risks might limit upside momentum early in the week.

Technical (Support /Resistance/Fibonacci):

EURUSD

  • Resistance: 1.15800
  • Support: 1.15500 | Next: 1.14750

Outlook:

For EURUSD, a move above 1.16000 could indicate limited upside potential, while continued trade below 1.15500 may suggest scope for further downside toward 1.14750.

GOLD (XAUUSD)

Fundamentals:

Gold remains well supported by expectations of continued policy easing and geopolitical uncertainty. Softer data or renewed trade frictions may strengthen demand, while rising yields could temporarily limit gains.

Technicals:

XAUUSD

  • Resistance:  $4,030
  • Support:  $3,830

Outlook

Gold may stay in a constructive range above $3,950. Dips toward $3,900 may see increased interest, while a move below $3,880 could suggest scope for a deeper retracement toward $3,830.

BTCUSD (Bitcoin)

Fundamentals:

Bitcoin continues to mirror broader risk sentiment. It could benefit if global liquidity conditions stay loose, but stronger U.S. data or rising risk aversion might limit enthusiasm in the near term.

Technical:

BTCUSD

  • Resistance: $107,000 | Next: $116,000
  • Support: $100,000

Outlook:

BTCUSD may attempt to stabilise above $100,000. A move through $116,000 could indicate potential for short-term upside, while a decline below $100,000 may signal continued weakness

NASDAQ 100 (NAS100)

Fundamentals:

The Nasdaq 100 might remain guided by risk sentiment and corporate earnings updates. Market participants continue to weigh strong balance-sheet fundamentals against potential trade disruptions and higher volatility in technology shares

Technicals

NAS100

  • Resistance: 25,600 | Next: 26,400
  • Support: 24,800

Outlook:

If the index remains above 25,600, it could indicate scope for a move toward 26,400. However, a sustained drop below 24,800 might encourage further short-term correction.

WTI Crude Oil (USOIL)

Fundamentals:

Oil prices remain weighed down by weaker demand projections and cautious market sentiment. OPEC+ communications and weekly U.S. inventory data could heavily influence short-term direction.

Technicals:

USOIL

  • Resistance: $60.100 | Next: $61.400
  • Support: $58.900

Outlook

Crude may face resistance below $61.400. A move above that level could indicate early recovery potential, while further weakness might push prices back toward $58.00.

U.S. Dollar Index (DXY)

Fundamentals:

The dollar remains broadly supported by safe-haven flows, though its advance could pause if U.S. data come in softer than expected. This week’s market tone may hinge on whether risk appetite rebounds or defensive positioning prevails.

Technicals:

USDXY

  • Resistance: 100.00
  • Support: 99.300 | Next: 98.400

Outlook

DXY may remain firm above 100.00. A push beyond 100.10 could extend its strength, but a slip below 98.00 might trigger a significant corrective pullback.

NVIDIA (NVDA)

Fundamental:

While Nvidia is not releasing earnings this week, its performance might continue to influence overall tech sentiment. Developments in AI investment, chip demand, and U.S.–China export restrictions could guide its price trajectory.

NVIDIA

  • Resistance: $210
  • Support: $180

Outlook:

NVDA may consolidate within a broad range. A sustained break above $194 could indicate scope for a move toward $210, while a decline below $180 may signal renewed short-term weakness.

Summary

Markets head into mid-November balancing hopes for steady growth with lingering macro and trade uncertainties.
If data soften and policymakers maintain a supportive stance, risk assets such as equities, Bitcoin, and oil might find renewed demand.
However, stronger U.S. data, hawkish commentary, or trade setbacks could redirect flows toward the U.S. dollar and gold. Traders and investors may prefer to remain flexible, focusing on key technical levels and managing exposure carefully.
